Spring Skin

Spring is the perfect time to review and refresh your skincare routine. With milder weather and sunnier days (fingers crossed!), it's time to opt for lighter textures and formulas. I've listed my top skincare picks below...

1. Cleanser

Opt for lighter textures, especially if you've been using an oil based cleanser such as a cleansing balm in the colder, winter months.

2. Exfoliator

Huda Beauty, Yo Glow exfoliator always!

3. Serum

Serums are super important if you're looking for results. If you're on a budget or simply don't have much time in the morning to focus on your skincare routine, don't skip your serum. If you're looking for fresh, well rested skin opt for a vitamin C option like XXX.

4. Moisturiser

Opt for a lighter, gel textured moisturiser (water based would be fab). My go to's Origins GinZing Gel moisturiser, Mario Badascu or Farsali.

5. SPF

I don't use an SPF daily (that's me!) but I'm not saying this is something you should follow. My thoughts on this are we're so deprived of the sun in the UK most of the year, surely we need some direct sunlight when we manage to see it peek out. When it's a warmer day, I always opt for XXX.

6. Lip Oil

You can't finish your skincare routine without a good old hydrating and nourishing lip oil. I have a ton of these in my skincare cabinet but the one I always seem to reach out for is the MUA Metamorphosis Colour Changing Lip & Cheek Oil. This little gem of a lip oil applies clear and adapts to your skins pH, it morphes into your perfect tone of flushed pink. Super nourishing, lightweight and hydrating. Obsessed.

If you don't have much time to get ready in the morning, my biggest advice would be to ensure you exfoliate and apply a serum. These two products mean you're treating the skin and getting the most impact out of your skincare routine.

Happy spring skin-ing.
